The Victory Squadron
The greatest superteam of World War II, the Victory Squadron was composed of: Captain Fortune (Tyler Van Warren), a young heir trained by Himalayan monks, had martial arts skills and precognition. Power Man (Allan Gordon) was an astronomer given superhuman powers by mysterious alien visitors called the Benefactors. The Silhouette (Jaime Murphy) was a hellraising sailor cursed by a Chinese wizard, and had the power to travel in shadow and move through solid objects. The Black Eagle (Dane Holmes) was a master archer whose family had assumed the guise of the Black Eagle for generations. Rocket Boy (Tommy Connors) was a teenage boxer who wore a rocket pack invented by the famous Professor Brown. Shadrach the Sorcerer was a magician with Kabbalistic powers who served as a sort of mentor to the group. The Victory Squadron were the leading edge of America's war effort. They had many adventures on the Home Front, in Europe and in the Pacific. They battled such adversaries as Doktor Omega, the Saboteur, Jigsaw, and the Talon. |
