Power Man
Real Name: Allan Gordon
Background: Before the Second World War, Dr. Allan Gordon, a pioneer in the field of space science, perfected a device capable of communicating over interstellar distances. In testing his Etheric Radioscope, he made contact with a space vessel carrying humanoid beings who called themselves the Benefactors. They landed their craft at Gordon's lab, took him aboard, and tested his "human potential," subjecting him to experimentation. From their probes, he emerged with superhuman powers. Upon returning to his lab, he was attacked by thugs working for a rival scientist. In the ensuing battle, the skinny weakling Gordon transformed into a tall, muscular, golden-haired hero. With his new powers, he accidentally killed the thugs and destroyed his Etheric Radioscope. He then swore an oath to never use his powers for evil, but only the benefit of humankind. To protect his friends and family, he adopted a new identity, and went forth as Power Man to battle evil.

Powers: By storing solar energy in his body, Gordon could transform into his Power Man identity, and was immensely strong and resistant to energy. He could also project solar bolts from his hands.
Skills: Gordon was a skilled scientist and medical doctor.
