Shadrach the Sorcerer

Real Name: Shadrach Meshach

Background: Shadrach's origin is shrouded in mystery. The sorcerer himself told at least three different tales of how he began his education in the mystic arts. What is known is that he was a Kabbalistic magician of Levantine background, studying in Europe when the war broke out. Persecuted by the Nazis for his knowledge and heritage, he fought back, often ruthlessly, allying himself with powerful demons to exact his revenge.

Eventually, he was forced to flee to the United States, and came into conflict with the Victory Squadron. Originally one of their most dangerous enemies, through Rocket Boy's intervention, he was eventually convinced to fight on the side of right. He is now zealous in defense of his adopted country and teammates.

Powers: Shadrach was a master of ancient sorcery in the Kabbalistic mode.

Skills: Shadrach had a deep understanding of the occult. He was also a master escape artist and skilled at sleight-of-hand.
