Real Name: Phineas Gump

Background: Phineas Gump was born an invalid to a rich family. As the sickly child grew, he was forced to develop his mind to survive. He became fascinated with human psychology, particularly fear and phobias, studying all there was to know: modern science, occult lore, and conducting his own experiments. He eventually developed the ability to induce irrational fear in others with a glance. Although still physically weak and fragile, he could use his power to dominate those around him. There would be nothing to stand in his way! Eventually, he came to control a large underworld empire that put him into conflict with heroes like the Midnight Men.

Status: Deceased.

Powers: The Talon was a low-level psionic who could radiate fear.

Skills: The Talon was a master planner and had an acute understanding of human psychology and weaknesses.

Technology: The Talon was immensely wealthy and had access to the most modern weapons of the 1940s.
