Background: Matt Davis is a former assassin for the Scientific Intelligence Agency. After quitting the agency, he began a lucrative career as a mystery writer. Seeking to atone for his former career, he prowled the streets of New York, using the skills he had learned and dealing out justice.
He was a founding member of the Outsiders and has ben active many years in the New York superhero scene. He has been romantically linked with the vigilante Maverick.
