Viceroy

Real Name: John Mackey

Background: As an infant, John Mackey was kidnapped from Earth by the alien Karnak Imperium, subjected to experimentation on his genetic structure, and raised as one of their warriors. His indomitable spirit endeared him to the Karnak Emperor and Mackey was granted the rank of Viceroy, or Imperial Governor.

As an adult, he rebelled against the Karnak ways of conquest and returned to the planet of his birth to defend her. He has battled many foes in his time and become one of the greatest of Earth's heroes, but mercurial temper and uncompromising attitude often are a hindrance to his friends and allies.

Viceroy is the direct ancestor of the 31st century hero Ventura.

Group Affiliation:: Former member of the Sentries, former member of the Furies, current leader of the Liberators.

Powers: As a Karnak starflyer, Viceroy can survive in space and travel at faster than light speeds. He can also fire energy from his body as a weapon.

Skills: Viceroy is a skilled strategist and tactician.

Technology: Viceroy wears a Karnak star-gem to help focus his energetic powers.
