1. "No Substitute for Justice!"

In Chicago, a city corrupted by greed, Dark Angel and Streetwolf team up to expose Mayor Garrett Murdoch, a pawn of organized crime . Murdoch has hired the Hellrazers to terrorize his enemies and the populace.

2. "The Price"

On a midtown crime spree, Loco is intercepted by Mack Truck. The two fight to a standstill on Lakeshore Drive. Dark Angel and Streetwolf assist.

3. "The Weapon"

Using his legitimate police powers, Murdoch enlists Viceroy to apprehend the growing band of outlaw heroes. Viceroy attacks, and the Furies withdraw to Dark Angel's base, called The Tunnel.

4. "Selene"

Debut of the Selene, Dark Angel's attack helicopter. Using it, they convince Viceroy that he's working for the wrong side. Enraged at being used, Viceroy allies with them.

5-8. "No Sleep Till Waukegan"

Now a whole team, the Furies blitz the Hellrazers and save the city. The team gains a valuable ally in police captain Andrea Cole.

9. "One Night in Bangkok"

Cameo appearance by Ronin, in action in Bangkok. The Furies heal and repair their base.

10-11. "Little White Lines"

Joined by Ronin, the Furies go up against Asian drug runners, peddling a new toxic narcotic called Pzaz, who are funded by Mayor Murdoch.

Annual #1: "Scrubs"

A computer virus, released by Deus X, threatens the city.

12. "The God in the Machine"

The team battles mighty Deus X himself. Ronin is critically injured.

13. "Armed and Dangerous"

The Desperadoes annoy the Furies. Viceroy gets angry and brings them in solo.

14-15. "Secrets and Lies"

Andrea Cole discovers Dark Angel's secret identity, and the information is found out by Judge Murdoch. First appearance of Lyla Briggs, Dark Angel's pilot, who will later assume the identity of Dark Angel for a time.

16-19. "Swatted Like Flies"

The team battles against the mercenary team SWAT. In their secret identities, SWAT's leader Anarchy falls for Dark Angel. Ronin kills Lazerator. As a final revenge, Anarchy sets off a bomb in the Avery Tower, destroying it. Streetwolf is killed, and the Furies are blamed.

20. "The End of the Beginning"

The heavily armed Chicago police, aided by Phase Two, shut down the Furies and raid their Tunnel HQ. Captain Cole tries to warn the team but is shot down. Viceroy finds her body, blows his cool and attacks the police, melting police vehicles. Dark Angel demolishes the Tunnel, faking her own death and giving Mack Truck and Ronin time to escape. The team seems defeated by Mayor Murdoch...until all the evidence they left behind finally brings down Murdoch for good.
