The Free Republic of Transasia was formed in the late 1980s by Dr. Omega, who conquered a huge, barren portion of Siberia with military force. The nation has been ruled with an iron fist, ruthlessly exploiting the vast oil reserves and mineral resources of the frigid land. With a huge standing army, Transasia has a constant threat to its neighbors and was most notable for the unprovoked invasion of the peaceful Pacific nation of Isola.

It has also been a haven for international criminals and mercenaries of all kinds, refusing to honor any extradition treaties with other nations.
