Death's-Head

Real Name: Count Gunther von Todt

Background: In the earliest years of the 20th Century, Count Gunther von Todt was a handsome Prussian Count whose skin was seared in a fiery zeppelin accident. Exposed to deadly gas, he was immune to its toxic powers. The accident also killed his beloved wife and the grief drove him mad. Obsessed with revenge and consumed with rage, he adopted the name Death's-Head. Fighting for his beloved Germany in the Great War, he later rose to leadership of the criminal conspiracy known as HAVOC.

Under his leadership, HAVOC truly became an international menace. He was largely responsible for pitting the nations of the world against one another, strife which culminated in World War I.

Death's-Head was apparently killed when the American hero G-Man threw him into an artificial volcano in 1920.

Group Affiliation: Former leader of HAVOC.

Powers: Death's-Head was immune to poisons of all kinds.

Skills: Death's-Head was a diabolical planner and evil genius.

Technology: Death's-Head employed all manner of infernal devices in his quest for power, including deadly automatons, energy cannons, and aerial machines.
