The Horde
The malevolent lifeforms known as the Horde are the scourge of space. They have no culture or society of their own, but parasitically infest the planets and ships of other races. They are rumored to have originated centuries ago deep in S'Ta space. Once they had infested enough starships, they were able to spread through space like wildfire.
Savage, venomous and cruel, Hordelings live only to feed and reproduce. Every civilized race fears their poison stingers and sheer malevolence. They take pleasure in capturing other sentients and laying eggs inside their bodies. The maturing larva then chew their way out, while the host is still alive.
Horde queens are huge and immobile, but possess deadly psionic abilities that they use to control other sentients.
Shortly before the Hero Wars, the Watchstar 2 team travelled into space to stop a Horde invasion of some local star systems. During this expedition, Lone Eagle was killed saving the lives of his teammates.
A craft loaded with Hordelings recently landed in Night City, but the creatures were narrowly defeated by an alliance of superheroes.
