Dr Saturn & Atomboy

Real Name: Dr. Judson Jerome and Kent Wylie

Background: The team of Dr Saturn and Atomboy were the greatest heroes of the 1950s. Judson Jerome was the discoverer of the alloy called saturnium, and built an armored suit out of his creation, using its amazing abilities to defy gravity.

Orphan Kent Wylie was exposed to radionic beams from a nuclear pile and gained superhuman powers as a result.

Dr Jerome adopted young Kent in order to study his powers, and they battled evil and Communism together. They were an important part of the new organization called Phase Two and foiled many important schemes of HAVOC.

Dr Saturn had a teenaged daughter, Jane, who had many adventures of her own, usually without her father's knowledge.

After many years as crimefighters, in a "last hurrah", they dared to pursue the new supervillain Sargon to his new Mount Everest base. However, Sargon disintegrated both of the heroes, marking the end of an era. It was this incident that convinced Dr Nathaniel Nova to form the Sentries.

Status: Deceased

Powers: Atomboy was superhumanly strong and fast, and could project beams of atomic energy from his body.

Skills: Dr Saturn was a brilliant inventor, while Atomboy was a daring hand-to-hand combatant.

Technology: Dr Saturn made use of a number of advanced devices of his own design.
