The Crusaders
The greatest heroes of the Silver Age, the Crusaders were renowned the world over. From their base in New York City, they battled such foes as Brainstorm, the Red Ghost, and HAVOC. The Crusaders were killed in deep space, when their ship was caught in a supernova blast.
Mentor (John Norman) was a scholar of antiquities who gained powerful psychic powers from an ancient codex. He could project his mental powers at continental distances.
Juggernaut (Drake Michaels) was a scrawny biochemist and inventor who developed a pill that would boost his size, strength and toughness to superhuman levels.
Starfire (Kira Michaels) was America's first female astronaut. Bombarded by space radiation, she developed the ability to fire heat and energy from her body. She later married Drake Michaels.
Skywarp (Robert Lee Johnson) was an American soldier and spy who was captured by Communists and subjected to biological experiments. He emerged with the ability to teleport, which combined with his hand-to-hand fighting abilities, made him a formidable combatant.
